Vodacom Bursary Program
Vodacom is inviting undergraduate students within STEM fields ( Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) to apply for their academic Merit Bursary, for the 2025 academic year. The key offerings from the bursary include:

- Capped amount – private accommodation
- Full registration and Tuition
- Textbook allocation
- Meal allowance

The bursary duration is one year. After completing each bursary year, graduates will be required to work one corresponding year, depending on vacancies.
Eligibility – Vodacom Bursary Requirements
To qualify for the bursary program, applicants must meet the following requirements. Applicants must:
- be a South African citizen by birth
- undertake full-time undergraduate studies in a South African tertiary institution
- pass Grade 12 with exemption, obtaining 70% or higher across all subjects
- have obtained a minimum of 65% average or higher if in the first year of tertiary and above
- apply if already in first year (upwards) if studying at an accredited South African tertiary institution and meet all criteria above
How To Apply
Before applying, please ensure you meet all of the above criteria. The bursary application is done online, applicants will have to visit the website for the Vodacom Bursary Application 2025. Complete and apply online with clear copies of the following supporting documents:
- ID document (certified copy)
- Grade 11 results and Matric latest results, if currently in Matric
- Matric certificate, if completed Matric (certified copy)
- Full academic record/ transcripts, if currently studying (on institution letterhead)
- Fee statement, if currently studying (on institution letterhead)
- Proof of acceptance into a tertiary institution (on institution letterhead)
- Proof of any other bursary awards currently held
- A completed Parental Consent Form (for applicants under 18 years old)
After you’ve registered and applied, an email with confirmation of receipt will be sent to you. The Bursary Management team will then carefully assess your application and provide you with feedback every step of the way!
