AFCAT Application Form 2024: The Indian Air Force (IAF) will make the AFCAT 2 application form 2024 available on June 1, 2024. Selected individuals will be notified when the form is available for the July 2025 start of classes at the Air Force Academy. You must register, fill out the application form, and pay your fees to apply to AFCAT.

After the application period for AFCAT 2 2024 concludes, you will have the opportunity to make edits. Candidates are limited to editing their own information, including their name, father’s name, passport photo, signature, and thumb impression. With GST taxes included, the application fee is INR 550. All types of applications incur the same price. In 2024, the AFCAT 2 exam will be open to both male and female applicants.

About AFCAT

The Indian Air Force leads the Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). The test is held annually in February and August solely to pick up Class-I Officers in Flying and Ground Duties (Technical and Non-Technical).AFCAT is a section for male and female contenders who wish to join the Indian Air Force for both Short Service Commission in Flying Branch and Permanent Commission/Short Service in Ground Duties for both Technical and Non-Technical occupations. Candidates are picked subject to their presence in the online test and Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) meeting. Newcomers settling on Ground Duty (Technical) branches must appear in both the AFCAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT).

AFCAT Application Form Eligibility

The AFCAT requires all potential test takers to verify their eligibility before applying. The test is only open to those who meet specific requirements, such as age, education, physical fitness, and nationality. To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:

Age Restrictions for the AFCAT 2024 Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years. The upper age limit for candidates holding a legitimate and current DGCA (India) Commercial Pilot License can apply as long as 26 years.

Ground Duty: 20 to 26 years.

AFCAT Educational Qualification 2024 Flying Branch: 50% marks each in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level and Graduation with at least three years of a degree course and a minimum of 60% marks or BE/B Tech degree (four-year course) with at least 60% marks.

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch: 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and at least four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology.

Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch: 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum three years degree course) in any discipline with at least 60% marks

Nationality Citizen of India

 

AFCAT Application Form Requirements

Candidates should keep the following documents ready to apply online for AFCAT:

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Credit/Debit cards
  • Marksheets of Class 12 and graduation/diploma/integrated postgraduation
  • Scanned images of photograph, signature, and left thumb impression

1: AFCAT Registration 2024
  • Click on ‘Candidate Login’ on the home page of AFCAT for sign-in
  • Applicants need to select ‘Not yet Registered? Register Here’
2: AFCAT Apply Online 
  • Candidates need to log in with their registered email ID and password
  • Select the type of entry, AFCAT, NCC Special Entry for Flying Branch
  • Read the instructions carefully
  • Click the checkbox to proceed to the next stage
  • Click ‘Application Form Filling’
3: Paying AFCAT Examination Fees 
  • After filling the AFCAT application form, candidates need to pay INR 550 as examination fees
  • The fees can be paid online through credit/ debit cards/ net banking
  • Candidates need to click ‘Make Payment’ to pay the fees
  • On confirmation from the bank, the payment status will display the registration number
  • Candidates will also receive the confirmation regarding fee payment on their registered email ID and mobile number

Syllabus

AFCAT Syllabus for English 

The inquiries in English Language will be posed from Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion/Filling in of right word, Synonyms, Antonyms and Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms and Phrases.

AFCAT Syllabus for General Awareness 

Inquiries in this segment will be posed from History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Science, Defense, Art, Culture, Sports, and so forth.

AFCAT Syllabus for Numerical Ability 

In this segment, applicants will get inquiries from Number system, Decimal, Fraction, Time and Work, Average, Profit and Loss, Percentage, magnitude relation and Proportion and Simple Interest, Time and Distance

AFCAT Syllabus for Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test 

Inquiries will be posed from Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability.

Salary

During training, an allowance of Rs. 52,600 will be paid to students of the Indian Air Force. The term of the training for AFCAT is 1 year. The most recent breakdown of AFCAT compensation for a charged official (Per Month)

  • Pay Band for all Branches–₹ 56,100 Monthly
  • Level 10 within the Pay Matrix: VIIth CPC – 56,100-1,10,700
  • Military Service Pay:- ₹ 15,500 Per Month
  • Flying Branch: Rs. 11,250 every month
  • Technical Branch Officers: Rs. 2,500 every month

Moreover, officials are qualified for different recompenses, for example, Transport Allowance, Children Education Allowance, and so on.
