Eligibility for UFS Application

Undergraduates Students

Applicants applying to study at UFS for the 2025-2026 academic year must provide the following supporting documents:

• An ID document if you are a South African citizen
• International students should provide passport
• If you are younger than 18 years, provide your parent’s ID or passport
• Your final Grade 11 results with the school’s stamp
• If you already have matriculated submit a National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Grade 12 IEB certificate
• Your academic record, if only you are/were a student at another institution of higher learning

 Postgraduate Student

The students eligibility for admission will only be assessed once the certified academic transcripts (which must have been translated into English), a completed UFS application form, and a certified copy of your passport have been received. Requirements for UFS Application

Undergraduates

• Your ID if you are a South African citizen
• Your passport if you are an international student
• Your parent’s ID or passport if you are younger than 18 years
• Your final Grade 11 results with the school’s stamp
• Grade 12 June results with the school’s stamp as soon as it becomes available.
• National Senior Certificate (NSC) if you have already enrolled
• Your academic record, only if you are/were a student at another institution of higher learning
• USAf accreditation from the examination board for South African universities. Apply to mb.usaf.ac.za for conditional, foreign, or mature age conditional exemptions.
•  If you transfer from another tertiary institution, you must include a certificate of conduct and an official
  study record from the previous tertiary institution with your application.

Postgraduate Student

Before applying online for selection and admission, please ensure you have the following documents readily available in clearly readable, electronic format:

• A certified copy of your South African ID document or passport (for international applicants)
• Certified copies of all previous qualification certificates*
• Certified copies of all previous academic transcripts

Certified copies should not be older than three months at the time of your application.
