Job Position: RFP: 2024 Grant Writers
A. Introduction
Helium Health is a full-service Healthtech company on a journey to digitize healthcare across Africa. We have been doing this since 2016, and our pioneering approach has helped to transform healthcare delivery systems across Sub-Saharan Africa and the GCC, creating an alternative vision for patients and providers, whilst facilitating hundreds of thousands of high-quality patient experiences every month.
B. Purpose of this RFP
Helium Health seeks to partner with reputable Grant Writing Consultants and Freelance Grant Writers to provide exceptional consulting services for the Company.
C. Our Need
We are looking to engage Grant Writing Consultants and Freelance Grant Writers on a fee-for-service basis, who will be responsible for researching, writing and coordinating the grant application process and management of proposals.
D. Required Capabilities
- Must have a track record in technical grant writing with a verifiable list of successful grants.
- Masters or PHD in social sciences, health science, Public Administration Business Administration
- Broad experience in Public Health and knowledge of fundraising information sources. Must have established relationships and networks with potential donors in the technology and health sectors. Technology and digital health experience is an added advantage.
- Experience with proposal writing and institutional donors.
- Knowledge of fundraising techniques and strategies.
- Strong research, communication, and publication skills.
- Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research.
E. Engagement Terms
Successful applicants will be added to our Public Health Faculty and engaged for their services from time to time. They will be paid per completed application project based on a pre agreed fee structure.
F. Proposal Structure
Your proposal, which will be central to our evaluation and final decision, should be carefully prepared giving attention to ALL the peculiarities of our needs and requirements. To aid you in your response to this request, your proposal should include:
Technical Proposal:
- Executive Summary
- Background: Academic qualification and detailed work experience
- Case Studies: Track record of successful grants written with proof where possible
- Expertise: Different areas of expertise
- Processes: Details of the various processes- identification, qualification, application and so on
Financial Proposal: Proposed fee and the basis of fee (eg per grant, per hour etc). Other cost for services if not covered by the financial proposal, should also be included.
Please note that this is a competitive bidding process. To enhance your chances, it’s crucial to be transparent about your fee structure and clearly state any assumptions you make.
The quality of the proposal submitted will be viewed as an indicator of your capability to deliver the service and a measure of your interest in the contract.
G. Prequalification and Evaluation
Helium Health will objectively assess and evaluate all responses received as a result of this RFP; however, we also retain the right to reject any or all of the responses. Our organization does not intend to award a contract solely on the basis of responses to this RFP.
