We’re looking for an experienced sales professional with a background in textbook sales who can work with us remotely in a freelance or independent contractor capacity (hourly plus commission) for our Publishing division – currently focusing on games and technology.

Work/Skills:

• Expand current list of potential customers – universities, school districts, instructors, department chairs, and bookstores.
• Reach out to potential leads via email and phone.
• Conduct ongoing followup communication with leads and close adoption deals.

Desired Characteristics:

• Previous successful textbook sales experience (5 years).
• Comfortable with outreach via phone and email.
• Dedication to meeting project deadlines and sales goals in a timely manner.
• Strong time management skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of game and technology industries a plus.
• Bonus: Experience communicating with existing customers (post-sales).

Weekly day range:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Education: high school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Sales: 5 years (Required)
• Textbook Sales: 5 years (Required)
• Book Sales: 5 years (Required)
