About GATE
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a national examination in India for candidates who want to get admission to study Master’s programmes or postgraduate engineering (ME/M.Tech) or any other analysis courses at top universities and institutes in India such as IITs, NITs, IIITs, etc. Apart from admissions, GATE scores are also used by various public and private companies as employment eligibility standard. The GATE is organised by IISc Bangalore.

GATE 2024 Documents Required on Exam Day
On GATE 2024 exam day, you will be required to bring the following documents to be cleared for the exam:
- GATE Admit Card
- PwD Certificate (If applicable)

Gate application form 2024 fees
GATE application fee 2024 is INR 1800 for unreserved candidates. The GATE exam fee for Females/SC/ST is INR 900. Candidates are required to process the payment of INR 1800 (INR 900 for Female/ST/SC/PwD candidates )as GATE Registration Fee while filling the GATE Registration Form. GATE Application Fee with late charges is INR 2300 (INR 1400 for Female/ST/SC/PwD candidates).

How to Apply GATE Application Form 2024
1. Registration: The first step is to register yourself on the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website. Keep your personal details and a valid email address handy for registration.
2. Filling the Application Form: After registration, log in to fill out the application form. You’ll need to enter your personal and academic details accurately.
3. Uploading Documents: Upload scanned images of your photograph, signature, eligibility certificate, category certificate (if applicable), and PwD certificate (if applicable) as per the prescribed format and size.
4. Application Fee Payment: The application fee varies according to the category and gender of the candidate. Ensure to make the payment before the deadline to avoid last-minute hassles.
