Press and hold the side button to turn off your Apple Watch until the power off slider appears. Then, drag the slider to the right to turn off the device.

Step 2: Locate the release buttons

The next step is to locate the release buttons on the underside of the Apple Watch. Depending on the type of band you have, the release buttons may be different.

For bands with a traditional buckle, you’ll find release buttons on either side of the band where it connects to the watch. To remove the band, press and hold one of the release buttons while gently pulling the band away from the watch.

For bands with a sport loop, you’ll find a small tab on the underside of the band near where it connects to the watch. To remove the band, press and hold the tab while gently pulling the band away from the watch.

Step 3: Remove the band
